  • Van Gogh Museum – truly worth it, you will be able to see the evolution of his work in a new and exciting way
  • Heineken Brewery – not the most informative tour but the rooftop view you get with your free beer makes it all worth it
  • Rijksmuseum – the Rembrandts are worth it

  • Royal Palace – sometimes there is even a massive fair in the adjacent square
  • Anne Frank House – must get here early with tickets in advance

    • strolling the Southern Canal Ring’s Bloemenmarkt
  • Rent bikes in Vondelpark
  • Jordaan neighborhood
  • Brouwerij‘t Ij – microbrewery with a large outdoor drinking terrace in a windmill (really cute and fun)

  • NDSM – where you can enjoy a host of hip waterside hangouts, frequent festivals and events.
  • Floating flower market on the Singel
  • De Hallen – A hub for media, culture, fashion, food and crafts

  • Museum of Cocoa and Chocolate – free demonstrations AND free samples! 
  • Atomium
  • Place Poelaert
  • Sandemans free walking tour – in SO MANY European cities and FREE
  • Delirium Cafe – I spent half of a day here. Largest selection of draft beer in the world. I got the Pink Killer. 
  • Palais de Justice
  • Place du Châtelain Market– on Wednesdays
  • Goupil le Fol – a perfect bar for a night out on the town
  • Rubbrecht – a classic lace shop with a beautiful selection
  • Royal Galleries – grab some frites and stroll the large arcade to see chocolatiers and specialty shops of all kind
