Why Do We Love It?

West Palm Beach has been expanding and shaping its reputation for the past few years. Today, it can hold its own when put up against other up-and-coming towns such as Portland and Austin. One unique space that has just been developed is the Warehouse District. What was once the remains of old warehouses and storage units, now stands one of the area’s hottest districts. The hipster vibe is seen throughout downtown West Palm, and the warehouse district is no exception. With murals, culinary treats, and the young population crowding around, this is the next best thing to launch West Palm Beach into the national spotlight.

Some of our favorite places include Grandview Public Market, where the bao buns from the Ramen Lab Eatery are straight from New York City chefs, and the ice cream is rolled in front of your eyes. This market is complete with a Rabbit Coffee Roasting Co, plenty of restaurant stalls, and a gorgeous outdoor seating area. Be sure to try the crowd favorite, charcoal ice cream rolls at Crema, but beware it can make your teeth black! Breweries have been popping up around this district in the past few years. Try Steam Horse Brewing Co. for an afternoon drink or visit Grain and Barrel Spirits for something a bit stronger. Shopping is on everyone’s to do list, and Elizabeth Ave Station makes perusing easy. This collection of pop up shops has a changing list of boutiques and is open on certain weekends throughout the year. There are also multiple events held here with music, food, and special deals.

The location of the warehouse district could not be better. It is right next to traffic-heavy Cityplace and the club and restaurant area of Clematis Street. This means you can spend the entire day checking out downtown West Palm and never get bored. If you live here, check out the Armory Art Center across the train tracks for kids and adult art classes. Another kid friendly feature is that the warehouse district is complete with public art all around and a public garden to relax in.
